At this point what I'd do is go to distrowatch.com find a live-cd
, download it, burn it onto a cd and boot from the cd. Make sure you pick distribution with a kernel of 2.6.20 or above and see if that's working. If it is, than it's just the kernel.

There's really no easy way of testing. Other than that, I know it's a bit of a problem if you don't have broadband of course.

2.6.21 was released a few days ago btw, I'm running it and ALL my MCP61 on board is working. Really happy now
