Download the 9755s from nvidia.com and save them to your home directory. You want the 9755s at the top.

Install the packages recommended here, most should be anyway, and follow the instructions to disable the NV module. I found this way to be easiest.

Type "sudo nano /etc/default/linux-restricted-modules-common and edit the DISABLED_MODULES to this "DISABLED_MODULES="nv"

open a terminal and do the following.

sudo apt-get install linux-source-2.6.20

sudo apt-get install linux-headers-2.6.20-15

sudo apt-get install nvidia-new-kernel-source

hit ctrl>alt>f2 to kill kdm (k desktop manager)

log in again

type 'ls' minus quotes, you should see your driver listed.

do "sudo sh *NV*" and follow the prompts.

Or if your a sadist you can type the whole driver name out

If it installs with no failures, cross your fingers (<-Very important!) and sudo reboot.

You should be greeted with the nvidia logo before logging in.

Feel free to pm or post if you run into more grief with this Bro. I can't shake the feeling I'm missing something and sorry it took this long to get this posted..my apologies.
Hey man, no problems. I've been rather pre-occupied with Vista to re-install Kubuntu (also, my time has been limited as well). I'm gonna' shoot to re-install Kubuntu tonight. And I'll try to install the drivers just as you listed.

Thanks again for doing this, I really do appreciate it. I'll let you know how it goes soon as I get the chance to try it.
