I haven't had time to test extensively because the QuadGT is down from a bad BIOS flash. I have a new BIOS chip incoming. In early results I'd say near identical at the same clock. On 965 I can run much higher memory speed and my gaming benches @ 3.0GHz will be slightly faster vs an E6600 at the same clock. Also the higher FSB @ 3.0GHz gives the E6320 a small edge.

A 3.0-3.2GHz C2D is plenty of chip for a pure gaming rig and if you want a good value try a 965 board with an E4300 for 118usd or the E6320 for 168usd. If you really want price vs performance and are on a budget grab a Brisbane 3600+ and shoot for 2.8-3.1GHz.

There's a decent mobo to drop a C2D in for the price.

Review of the Evga 650i-

Note, those mobos are not SLi capable. IMO the above with a 320mb or 640mb 8800GTS would make for a killer price vs performance gaming rig.
