If you downgrade to 2.40 (assuming that's possible with your model) the attached DSDT.aml causes my 7900GS Go card's fan to work. (The usplash thing is just a simple way to force the rebuilding of the initrd for the currently running kernel. There are many other ways to do this but, this is the one I always remember).
is there a way to correct the problem with BIOS 3.5??? i can get sound working by editing my dsdt.... but my card is very hot (120°!)
