I'm having the same slowdowns. I've got an Asus A7N266-VM (nForce chipset) with an Athlon 1600+, Debian unstable with kernel 2.4.21-pre5. Someone else posted nvclock output earlier and had memory more than 3 times as fast as mine. Anyone know why mine is so slow? DDR shouldn't be running at 50MHz. Also, it would help if people posted resolution and bit depth, as that has a major effect on glxgears output. Switching from 1600x1200x32 to 320x240x32 glxgears more than doubled. Still less than what it ought to be though.

I overclocked the core speed to 180 and got about a 15fps boost in glxgears. It won't let me overclock the memory though. That may be because the card uses the system memory. Anyone know how to overclock system RAM?
