Running Fedora 7 and frustrated that you have to be a video engineer to make the monitor work. Move the monitor from my windows laptop to a newer linux desktop. On the Windows box I plug it in and it just works. Both use nVidia chips. I don't know what chip the laptop uses because I don't need to know. It worked.

OK - having complained - I can't get past 1280x1024. No matter what I do that what I get. Looking in the log file it says that the panel is 1280x1024, which it isn't.

the motherboard is Asus using 6150 chip. What do I need to do to get this monitor to actually do 1680x1050?
