nvaudio 0256 -> regression ?
I had audio on my A7N8X working nicely with the NVIDIA package 0248 (Mandrake 9.0, 2.4.19-32). Now with 0256 they there is a complete driver rather than a patch for i810.
I got everything compiled and installed, but realplayer now tells me "Unable to open sound device".
When using sox with the 0256 nvaudio driver it tells me it can't switch the sample rate from anything other than 48000. Perhaps realplayer is trying to do exactly that and fails.
This corresponds to the kernel messages, too (see below). However with the old driver (based on i810) I had no such problems! Looks like a regression. Any hints?
