Re: 1080i50 TV out on 6150
Well, my Philips LCD (a standard model sold here in the Netherlands) accepts both 1080i50 and 1080i60. But it also accepts 576i at both rates, and PAL or NTSC.
However, when I want to view 50 Hz material it would be a bad choice to let the videocard run at 60fps.
Fortunately the TV has a VGA input so I can connect it directly to the PC videocard without using a TV-out encoder and limiting driver software. The VGA output can still be controlled with modelines. But for how long? It looks like with DVI there already is trouble not unlike the TV-encoder (driver not wanting to listen to what the user tells it)....
