Default The Coolit Freezone

Well, there are more than a few of us who have tried out the Freezone. Some of us are still using it and others have abandoned the product altogether. It is a decent concept, but the Coolit, in stock form, is a little lacking.

I made some modifications to mine with the most important change being the 92 to 120 mm adaptor and high capacity, sub 20 db, 120 mm fan. Those two items, a $20 investment, really improve the system performance. I also used a spare CPU block I had laying around, but that part did not really do much aside from allowing me to use the stock 775 mounting apparatus.

Performance is now improved by about 10C at idle and load. So, a pretty good change. Details can be found here.
