Because the alternatives are even worse. I'm the customer, not a loyal believer. I'll buy whatever works best. The day another card from whatever manufacturer delivers a better product (which is the COMBINATION of OS, driver and hardware) I will immediately switch to that as good as my wallet allows.
This means that if nVidia doesn't fix their act, I'll probably be buying something else soon.
