Yes it connects nicely to a PC and is even automatically recognized in Vista but in XP you need to use drivers. I believe you do need to run AnyDVD HD if you want 1080p output because the HD-DVD drive doesn't have a HDCP chip (IIRC) but I don't know for sure if thats the truth.
