Unhappy

Strange enough I'm having a few problems with this new driver on an ASUS A7N266-VM MoBo.

FreeBSD 5.1-RELEASE, can attach any kernel config if needed. Note that the old driver installed from the ports worked without problems here.

If I try to load the KLD at boot using loader.conf the system freezes just after kernel bootup(just before executing the rc script) and I can't either get in single user.

Instead loading the module after boot using kldload works, after that X starts and everything looks ok, but I get the following messages:

Jul 4 21:11:18 wedge kernel: nvidia0: <Unknown> at device 0.1 on pci0

(pasted from /var/log/messages, hope it's not garbled)

I'd really like to know what's happening, and why I can't successfully load it from loader.conf.

P.S. Checked in the bios but I could not find any items about PNP OS in my bios...checking for a bios upgrade.

Thanks in advance for any help!
