The trick of sensationalism is to make a HUGE fuss, and then save some space next to the 1950s Jet Pack ads for a list of retractions. It's a huge money maker. Idiots consistently fall for sensationalism. To the point where the politicized find themselves weary of any form of sensation, even if richly deserved (eg Poverty, Iran being assholes etc)
