qpopper is a pop3 server (probably the pop3 server :-)).

bind for DNS or a domain hosting service so is a valid domain (it costs money no matter how you create as a valid domain).
If you register it with a domain registrar then it is cheap ($15 USD I think). If you pay for someone else to host your domain then it is probably big bucks (and then you don't need your own computer anyways). for BIND (which IS THE DNS software of the Internet).
