I am running debian sid (2.6.23 vanilla) with an old AGP fx5200 128mb and I never had any kind of problems with my nvidia card until a few days ago.
Now I am experiencing frequent full-system freezes and there seems to be now way of fixing it.
My syslog reflects the usual Xid errors:
Mar 5 14:41:05 osmosis kernel: NVRM: Xid (0001:00): 6, PE0000 1ffc ffffffff 0000ef18 ffffffff ffffffff
Mar 5 14:41:37 osmosis kernel: NVRM: Xid (0001:00): 6, PE0000 0444 00010001 00005504 00000000 00010001
Mar 5 14:42:40 osmosis kernel: NVRM: Xid (0001:00): 6, PE0000 1ffc 87ffffff 0000ef18 ffffffff ffffffff
I tried to implement the NVreg_RegistryDwords="PerfLevelSrc=0x2222"
fix but it didn't work.
The freezes can be reproduced with the F11 firefox trick.
The driver's version is 169.12 but the same thing happens with 100.14.19.
Is there anything more I can do?
