There's no autoattack and attacks don't queue so you have to hit the attack key every time you want to swing. You're limited by the speed of the attack animation. With spellcasting there is a short queue but it does not register on the UI - I imagine it works in a similar way that WoW's fix for /stopcast macros. Combat feels more engaging which is exactly why the system is a great idea, but I find the controls to be cumbersome.
