My experience in the past with the 7900GTX was horrible.
They need to be conservative with factory oc'ed cards. They have no way of knowing what kind of cooling customers will have, I'd be surprised if the oc'ed model didn't get close to 2600. They are supposedly tested to higher standards, so in theory, they would oc past the average. I think that more applies to the core though, as the memory is all .8ns if im not mistaken.
