There are actually three packages:
Code:
nvidia-glx-new 1xx.xx
nvidia-glx 9x.xx (my driver)
nvidia-glx-legacy 7x.xx
or four, if counting

envyng
which downoads the latest driver from nvidia.com

The third one is what I meant by "legacy". I am very capable of installing the driver myself after years with slackware so that won't be any problem. You probably know about these packages already, I just wanted to hear an nvidia rep elaborate more on the "it will be fixed".
