They said they're adding new techniques that won't come at a performance hit, but it doesn't say anything about the game running any better. And they said the $652 machine runs the game "at a high level" (or something like that), not high level -- just "a" high level of detail (which, for Crysis, could be medium).
For what its worth, I built a machine for a friend of mine using a socket 939 X2 4200+, nforce 4 ultra board, 2Gb ram and a 7900GS 256Mb with XP Home and the Crysis demo was reasonably playable at 1024x768 at medium settings. I was very surprised. I only charged him around $450 for the machine last fall.
