Blizzard didnt make that "adjusted" image, just to clarify.
But you can get pretty close to that with just post effects, is what Im saying. (additional rain has also been added I notice, EDIT: and some attempt to put in shadow under the corpse /EDIT)
Not so sure about the sharpening effect of Unsharpen mask, but Im fairly sure you CAN do some sharpeing im postprocessing with resonable performance, sure I´ve seen that as a effect in some game somewhere.
Which shows what you CAN do with postprocessing, and that they can still redirect the game in a darker direction if they want, I do however belive they will stick with the style its using now.
