Unfortunately, I will not be able to perform benchmark comparisons using the new hardware. After two weeks of instability/troubleshooting, I have scrapped my upgrade plans to the 790i/DDR3. That's $500 worth of hardware that is temporarily being relegated to paperweight status
My project for this weekend is moving back to the 680i mobo I had been using. The good news is that I will be able to make use of the new E8500 processor I picked up for the upgrade.
Damn, will have to phone home...
