Well, technically, these rebates are coming from the manufacturers, correct? So wouldn't it be Evga and XFX's bottom lines that are affected?

I sent my info in to Evga last night. After the rebate, it will mean that I paid less for my 280 GTX FTW than I did for my 8800GTX - and I purchased my 8800GTX a couple weeks or more after launch.
