Default Thin Blue Line - 6100 with FC9 & 1280x1024

I have a problem, not the only one either, that when using the nvidia driver (latest) on fedora core 9 (in my case x86_64) with 6100 and a acer AL1714 (and hp 17 inch) which has a native resolution of 1280x1024, the screen starts up with a single line of pixels visible at the top (x appears to actually be working) and the rest of the screen black.

I can use CTRL-ALT-+/- to change to another resolution eg 1280x960 but thats just not optimum..

I have attached a archive with some verbose x-logs and the configs used to create this..

I had the driver working perfectlly in fedora 8, but 9 just wont work as it should..
