Don't perform the ole sneaky switcheroo on me. We are talking about the GTX 260 price; now vs. original. Yeah I agree, the GTX 280
was way overpriced originally which is one reason why I bought the GTX 260 instead.
Given the reported noise, and poor AoC performance of the 4870, I think the original prices for the 4870 vs. the GTX 260 were about right. Even at $100 more, I would personally opt for the 260. I prefer my hair dryer and its associated noise in my bathroom only.
