Warhead has improved quality/performance ratio and I think it looks just right on the developers own settings, it looks really natural. Several people have been promoting the CCC config file as being performance saving in Warhead even though it's designed for Crysis in combinations with TOD settings not available for warhead. If you think it plays horrible, you should check that out. Otherwise just stick with the game unmodded, they really improved it over Crysis IMO
Oddly enough I can play this very smooth at that resolution in DX9 with Enth settings. All I have set to Gamer is Shaders, Shadows and Physics Average FPS is around 30... dips to the lower 20's at times... but very playable for the graphics I am getting out of it
