If you're interested in your uname output:

Linux (1) linux (2) 2.4.20-4GB (3) #1 Wed Aug 6 18:26:21 UTC 2003 (4) i686 (5) unknown (6) unknown (7) GNU/Linux (8)

(1) kernel name
(2) network node name
(3) kernel release
(4) kernel version
(5) machine hardware name
(6) processor type
(7) hardware platform
(8) operating system

You have your two unknowns because you're running a kernel pre-compiled by SuSE that hasn't been customized / compiled for your own system. It's not a problem - that kernel will run on just about any Pentium compatible computer - which is why SuSE build it that way.

Mine is:
Linux barney 2.4.20-gentoo-r5 #18 SMP Sun Sep 7 09:35:35 GMT 2003 i686 AMD Athlon(tm) XP 2700+ AuthenticAMD GNU/Linux

There you go :-)
