That won't happen.
Microsoft needs to switch to 64-bit as well as end support for any 32-bit O/S. One people realize that 32bit (Xp, vista) is not being supported, they will be forced to switch.
theoretically yes, but it would cost businesses millions of dollars to switch, and tbh, some may consider linux as an alternative.
