Still, the rumored pricing is not too far out of line vs Vista retail, street price.


But seriously, If you were MS, what would you charge for Home Premium? (new retail, vs upgrade)
That's the versions they will be trying hard to convince 100 million home XP users to upgrade to.

My Guess:
  • New full lic: $260 is not outrageous.
  • upgrade from vista: $100 (can't charge much more for what is effectively Vista SP3)
  • Upgrade from XP: $190 (even though its a full reinstall)
