I won't jump to too many conclusions before I actually play it, but it's more or less exactly what I was anticipating would happen and is exactly what happened with Warhead. Zero new plot information or major story line info.

Everyone doing these sequels need to take a lesson from Valve on how to take one big story and give you just enough to want the next game and to still have enough major chunks of important plot material to produce a solid 2nd and 3rd game.
