I always write down the S/N of any parts RMA'd, and put a little dot on the item somewhere... Maybe they are just saving face by not admitting it, and sent you a replacement silently. Anyways, enjoy the hardware!! I'm 16 or 20% through the FC2 missions, no problems at all. It's nice when everything works...

BTW, they discontinued our part number for a while, then re-introduced it. Sounds weird, eh?
