What Program are you using for speeds? RivaTuner... EVGA Precision...??? I would honestly use EVGA Precision for OC'ing your card. In your case.... just to be able to monitor it probably as you will be able to see what speed it was running in-game. If you decrease the polling speed (make the value larger) you will be able to look on the graph a decent time into the game you were playing for temps and speeds.
