i think my hypothesis is true, so far perfectly stable, right now at 3.8ghz, will stay there, 4.0 needs a bit more juice then i would like.

tomorrow i might pick up x-fi prelude, i wanted to pick-up the new Auzentech x-fi forte pci-e. but if i ever go sli, i won't have any pci-e slots free.

I use one pci-e for video card now, and second esata 2-port card. so will have to stick to pci sound cards.

x-fi predule will confirm if my current x-fi is faulty, or pci bus on the x58 is faulty.
