Re: Fan Setting on EVGA Precision Utility?
I've been fighting with a similar problem. The fan usually runs at 40%, I've seen it go up to 50%ish but never any higher and its perfectly happy for the card to be in the mid 80's. I'm less than pleased though and so set the fan to 75% which brings the temp down to low 60's. Only trouble is, as you say the noise levels. 75% sounds as loud as 100% to me.
I set up 2 profiles in evga, both same clock settings but different fan speeds. I assigned hot keys to the profiles and all seemed to be well. Except it keeps changing profiles while I'm typing (even though I've tried using F keys and numpad keys for profiles)... so at the moment I'm manually changing it to 75% for games and sticking it on auto when I'm done.
