Default Re: Fuzzy/Blurry Image via HDMI (faulty EDID)

So apparently all I need to do is post to a forum and within 24h I find the solution by myself

My problem was that the "CustomEDID" option needs to be placed in the first Device section (i.e. the Device-Device section, not the Device-Card section or the Screen section).

So my old Device section

Code:
Section "Device"
	Identifier	"Device0"
	Driver "nvidia"
	VendorName	"NVIDIA Corporation"
	BoardName	"GeForce 9300M GS"
	BusID "PCI:3:0:0"
	Screen 0
EndSection
had to be changed to

Code:
Section "Device"
	Identifier	"Device0"
	Driver "nvidia"
	VendorName	"NVIDIA Corporation"
	BoardName	"GeForce 9300M GS"
	BusID "PCI:3:0:0"
	Screen 0
	Option "CustomEDID"	"DFP-1:/etc/X11/viewsonic.edid"
EndSection
That is the only place where the "CustomEDID" option can be to be recognized by the X system. Now even the log says it is loading the EDID from disk and my blurriness/fuzziness is gone! (I have attached my final, working xorg.conf.)

Thanks,
