Default Nvidia driver 180.60 will not install on kernel-rt

I'm currently using Ubuntu Jaunty and I wanted to try out the linux kernel with Ingo Molnar's realtime kernel preemption patch to try and reduce the problems I have with pulseaudio skipping.

I installed the version from the Jaunty repositories (linux-image-2.6.27-3-rt) along with the header files but the nviida driver fails to install on this kernel. I have attached a nvidia-bug-report file and a copy of the installer log, perhaps someone can tell me what the problem is. Is the nvidia driver compatible with real time kernels?
