I only wanted to verify that the gpu clock is responsible for video decoding performance. Since I don't need any deinterlacing, I know now, that I can leave the shader clock unchanged...

I believe we should see increased clocks. In my case I don't see any change. This leads me to conclusion that my Gigabyte has BIOS bug.

Also I'm wonder - are You able to change 2D/3D clocks via nvidia-settings utility ?
I'm not able (see link in my replay to Your post about overclocking)
I can read the correct values of the GPU clock with nvidia-settings, but I am not able to change them. If I try, the value jumps back to where I set it in the BIOS. The shader clock doesn't appear anywhere in this tool.
