Hi All,

I have a standard SATA II HDD and I did make sure I brought a Nvidia chipset to avoid the AMD 7xx southbridge problems.

but which is better SATA mode or ACHI mode???????? Although this is a Asus board I assume that this is an option in the chipset through the bios

I run linux so there is no windows ACHI driver issues i need to think about, just at the base level BIOS setting
