Incorrect mode detection via HDMI? *solved*
Hi.
I'm really stuck here. I've purchased an ASRock ION-330 to be my new media centre machine, VDPAU etc. all work beautifully over VGA output to my LCD TV (Samsung LE32B450). However it appears that there is a problem with HDMI, probably with the EDID data my TV returns.
As a result it only lists 1280x720 and 640x480 as valid modes via HDMI.
This is really anoying as this isn't 1:1 with the panel native 1360x768 so the display obviously look terrible!
Is there any way to force a custom mode line? I've tried the correct mode line for 1360x768 that is reported when I connect via VGA, but the log file just says:
"(WW) NVIDIA(0): No valid modes for "1360x768"; removing. "
What do I have to do to convince it to use the mode?
