Hi there !
I've got twinview installed, with kde4.3.2, and my two monitors have different sizes (one laptop and one big lcd), so my total usable desktop isn't rectangular.
Yet, twinview seems to only allow for rectangular desktop... The good thing is, it prevents windows from being completly out of the visible area, but the mouse can freely go there.
Here is a picture
showing the configuration : the blue part is my laptop, the red part is my lcd screen, and the grey part is the area that I can't see but where my mouse can go.
On windows, this area is blocked and the mouse has to stay in the visible area. This is actually very convenient.
Is there a way to have the same behaviour on linux ?
