Hmmm... Dwonload the youtube vid you're trying to play, open a terminal and type mplayer -vc ffmpeg12vdpau,ffh264vdpau,ffwmv3vdpau,ffvc1vdpau, -v /path/to/your_video > ~/mplayerlog.txt

Go to you home dir and throw mplayerlog.txt somewhere :-)

And I nearly forgot put this:
export VDPAU_NVIDIA_9cfhn89fhn=38047802
Into your ~/.bash_profile to make sure that the GPU will be able to accelerate more than one video stream at once!
