SOLVED Fedora 12 Nvidia Driver Problems

That guide is pathetic and wouldn't work ( Step 2 is the only useful bit )

1. add this to the bottom of /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf -> “blacklist nouveau”
2. Add this to the end of the kernel line in /etc/grub.conf -> “nouveau.modeset=0 vga=0318″
3. command: “yum install rpmfusion-free-release rpmfusion-nonfree-release && yum update”
4. command: “yum install kmod-nvidia”
5. Reboot

Step 1 is not needed as the rpmfusion driver does it for you.
Step 3 wouldn't work as the release files aren't provided by the fedora repo's, it should be

Step 4 won't work as step 3 failed
Step 5 will reboot to a black screen as there is no driver available as you didn't install nvidia and you have blacklisted nouveau.
