Stuck in Generic mode
I had problems getting any output once I log on to linux (red hat v 9.0). My monitor goes into DVI Standby mode.
I went to the shop where I had the system configured to run linux and windows xp and they said, because the didn't have my monitor they set it to generic (vga)
Does anyone know if there is a way of changing this without re-installing Linux?
Also I am a linux baby (my first year at uni) and I don't know how to do it from GRUB prompt. That is how to get to linux prompt from there.
