Yeah thats sorta sucks if thats accurate, but then again, why would you buy a tesla for x times the price if you could get a GF board?
US army bought a bunch of PS3s instead of the equivalent IBM blade servers for a tenth of the cost, for example, and sony sell that hardware at a loss expecting to make that up on software.

And I doubt were ever going to get much use for double precision, not much outside of the science realm calls for 64bit floating point precision (as I understand it)
But I guess its hard not to feel a bit cheated in any case.
