I'm having trouble believing that ATIs SSAA implementation really works or is true SSAA. I haven't had time to test it but I don't think it's working correctly - someone here on this forum was reporting over 100 FPS in Crysis with 16xSSAA lol
I know they are two different things, thats why I referred to them separately. I'm running 12X Edge Detect AA using the Super Sampling AA method. I'm thinking that they are definitely cutting a lot of corners in the SSAA as a real 12x SSAA would absolutely murder framerate, but it smooths out transparent textures and reduces shimmering much better than the MSAA mode, which is all I care about.
