Default Post-Windows 7 RTM Windows Build 6.1.7700 Leaked Information

Not only is Microsoft hard at work on producing the first major update to the latest iteration of the Windows client, but the company is also working on the evolution of Windows beyond Service Pack 1. In this regard, the software giant has reportedly put together a post-Windows 7 RTM development milestone of Windows, full build string 6.1.7700.0.100122-1900. According to Wzor, Build 7601.16486.100115-1536 does not belong to the Service Pack branch of Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2, but to the winmain branch.

The source of the information is not mentioning whether Build 7700.0.100122-1900 is a step forward on the path that will ultimately lead Microsoft to produce Windows 8. However, Wzor notes that the company is working on the development of the new Windows operating system. Both leaked information and screenshots have been leaked in the wild. Build 6.1.7700.0.100122-1900 actually refers to a copy of Windows Server 2008 R2.

Users following Microsoft closely undoubtedly already know that the release to manufacturing (RTM) Build of Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 was 6.1.7600.16385. In this regard, itís obvious that 6.1.7700.0.100122-1900 of Windows Server 2008 R2 actually supersedes the final development milestone of Windows 7 client and server releases, which was wrapped up on July 22nd, 2009.
