Ugh... I meant the opposite way, for SATA disk the best option is AHCI and not IDE, but anyway... I've taken a look at your motherboard, and I see you're also using NVIDIA chipsets so I think my suggestion could work for you.
So you need to download the nforce installer, unpack it (not installing), get the sata_ide folder contents and drop those files in a USB stick or a floppy, whatever means you have, and fire up now the Windows installer and chosee 'Load drivers' in the disk partition screen, I think it's all.
