This sample' duration is ~15 seconds, so it's made of about 15x60 = 900 frames. Dropping 700 frames would mean an average frame displayed rate of 13fps, which would be easily noticeable. From what I see (with my old mplayer-vdpau + c2-e8500@3.16GHz + gt220) i can't trust mplayer' output. Or maybe i misunderstand mplayer's status line?

This is with xine.
1) The frames are dropped in (~) the first second.
2) The a/v sync correction happens after ~250 frames.

P.S.
I'm a bit surprised to see that a G210 is slower than a GT220 for decoding. You may want to make sure that powermizer is off (it may take some time to jump to maxperf?)
