I could never get Crysis running properly in wine. Odd visuals and extremely bad performance (it was a slideshow).

I played Prey, FEAR 2, Wolfenstein, Dragon Age, Modern Warfare 2, and Mass Effect 2 at release and they all ran fine, with the exception of some crashes in ME2. Have
you ever seen games in wine?

Does wishing make software better? wine isn't just for Linux, and Linux doesn't fail because wine doesn't match Windows on their assorted component implementations and quality of those implementations, because gaming is not its sole purpose. And I'm pretty sure Windows wasn't built overnight by a handful of volunteers.
