I can't believe they still haven't fixed this issue, I first noticed it with the GTX 280 almost two years ago. Whenever two displays are connected and enabled, the card stays at full 3D clocks all the time, hence the high temps...

I can't understand the reasoning behind it, because even with the clocks forced down to 2D speed using RivaTuner any recent card has more than enough power to run Aero/video acceleration on two high-res displays without any hiccups.
