I thought (keyword being THOUGHT) that you could only have up to a 300w TDP card in any pci-e interface.

like others said two 8 pin pci-e power (300 total) plus 75 watts board power. AMD/ATI is doing the same thing with their 5970 4gb cards. Actually, asus is going one step further. They are using two 8pins and a 6pin. So, asus ares card will draw 450 watts!
